Digital devices are devices which preform all calculations using ones and zeros . This method of computing is called the binary  system . Digitised information is recorded in binary cod  of combinations of the digits 0 and 1 , also called bits , which represent words and images , Digital technology enables immense amounts of information to be compressed on small devices that can be really preserved and transported

media technological convergence is the tendency that as technology changes , different technological systems sometimes evolve toward preforming similar tasks
for example a mobile phone can now do more then just call and text , it has a number of other functions reducing the need for a bunch of devices .

  • immediacy - how fast or slow we get something
  • access - how we get into something
  • convenience - how reliable something is
  • portability - easy to move around / difficult to move around
  • connectivity - how well we are connected to the world
  • interactivity - how well you work with something
  • personalisation - how you make something your own
video call , internet access , gps , maps , games , camera ,

the advantages of the technology convergence is that over time the technology we all uses has been rapidly changing in positive way , for instants potability , nowadays you are able to easily put a phone in your pocket then having to carrying a brick phone.
