technological convergence
media technological convergence is the tendency that as technology changes , different technological systems sometimes evolve toward preforming similar tasks
for example a mobile phone can now do more then just call and text , it has a number of other functions reducing the need for a bunch of devices .
- immediacy - how fast or slow we get something
- access - how we get into something
- convenience - how reliable something is
- portability - easy to move around / difficult to move around
- connectivity - how well we are connected to the world
- interactivity - how well you work with something
- personalisation - how you make something your own
video call , internet access , gps , maps , games , camera ,
the advantages of the technology convergence is that over time the technology we all uses has been rapidly changing in positive way , for instants potability , nowadays you are able to easily put a phone in your pocket then having to carrying a brick phone.
another advantage would be personalisation , you can now make your phone look how you want (background ,wallpapers , icons )
